RECYCLING

The Borough needs to enforce these measures in order to maintain the facility used where we dispose of our recyclables. The return market on recycling has bottomed out and our vendors are forcing higher rates or looking for ways to cut current contracts. To maintain our current low contract we need to make sure that the proper materials are collected. We acknowledge our original post on Facebook and Web site might not have been viewed however, we are making every attempt to contact all residents to educate them on the new recycling demand placed on us by our facility.

We are confident by working together we will continue to make Runnemede a better place to live. Material outlining the recycling process can be found at the Borough Hall.

Some of the bigger issues of this process are No plastic bags, no contaminated paper products, No metal or aluminum other than can goods. Only glass bottles Etc.
Some examples of things not allowed are pizza boxes and ice cream containers. A good guideline is if you think it’s trash it is.
