On Thursday March 5th, Director Laubenstein traveled with Superintendent Harry Wozunk to the NJ State House. Harry Wozunk represents Runnemede as the President of the American Public Works New Jersey Chapter where they received with Vice President Branden Tobin of APWA a Joint Legislative Resolution from The Senate and General Assembly of NJ. Senator Gopal, Assemblyman Houghtaling and Assemblywomen Downey Introduced the Resolution to Support the APWA and All New Jersey Public Works Departments for the effortless work provided to all New Jersey Citizens.
Today Director Laubenstein announces that the Borough of Runnemede just received delivery of a New Dump Truck for the Department of Public Works. This 2019 Capital purchase replaces a 1985 Ford Dump truck. Superintendent Wozunk reports it will provide a reliable truck to support everyday operations and be first line for use in Snow and Ice Storms. The new truck is outfitted with a rear spreader to spread salt and/or sand in those needed storms.
