To all the residents in the proposed area:
The Borough of Runnemede has received all the required approvals to proceed with the project and has awarded a contract to the winning contractor. Pre-construction meetings will be happening in early October with the project to proceed immediately. The time frame for substantial completion will be September of 2024.
The project will be extending the current public sanitary sewer system to include the properties on Davis Road, Sunset Road, Sunnybrook Road and Evergreen Road.
The project will include the installation of sewer mains down all roads including sewer laterals for each property, repaving of all roads and some necessary curbing for drainage, sidewalks, and driveway aprons. A pump station will be located at the end of Evergreen Road and two smaller pump stations at the ends of Sunset Road and Sunnybrook Road.
Construction WILL BE inconvenient to property owners. The roads will be dug up to install the sewers. Roads will remain open during construction, but there may be detours and Davis Road MAY BE CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC. Hours of construction will be 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The contractor is authorized to widen the roadway with a temporary bypass lane during construction. After the work is complete the roadway and any property disturbances will be restored. However, the new roadway will be a minimum of 24’ wide to allow for proper vehicle use. Any trees removed will need to be replanted as per DEP requirements. The new locations will be discussed with property owners.
A project coordinator will be available for all residents to contact for any issues. The name and number will be provided once the work commences.
