Attached is a fact sheet provided by South Jersey Gas regarding the Smith Lane Bare Steel Replacement Project.
South Jersey Gas will begin to upgrade pipeline facilities along Smith Lane from Orchard Avenue to the Black Horse Pike in March 2016.
Work will also be performed on side streets, including Read Avenue, Orchard Avenue, Oakland Avenue, Manor Court, Payne Avenue, and Bowers Avenue.
Per SJ Gas, this project is expected to begin in March, 2016 (has started) and is anticipated to be completed by May 2016. Work on Payne Avenue will begin first, followed by Smith Lane and the associated side streets. The project will consist of installing 2” and 4” yellow plastic natural gas mains. (It may involve entrance into a residential property to relocate a meter to the exterior of the property.)
Work will take place Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (conditions permitting) There is a possibility that work will be performed some Saturdays during the same timeframe.
